SETTLED IN 1813

Portville is located in Cattaraugus County, New York.  The Village is within the south part of the Town and southeast of Olean, New York.  The Village was incorporated in 1895.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the Village has a total of 0.8 square miles, all of it land.  The Village is on the east side of the Allegheny River and is split by Dodge Creek, which flows into the river.  NYS Route 417 passes through the Village.
